Opening Day and first games announcements

Opening Day, which had been scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd has been postponed to Saturday, May 6th. With the cold temperatures predicted and the high winds, and wind chills in the high 30's and low 40's, we feel this is the best option to avoid having especially our little kids playing in frigid temperatures. Predicted rain throughout the day would also add not only field issues, but also additional cold to the kids and we do not want anyone getting sick. The first scheduled game for all teams will begin by Saturday, April 29th. For our Opening Day Festivities, we'll plan for the ceremony and a fun day at the ballpark on May 6th! Current plans include a Bounce House, Face Painting, Craft Vendors, Raffles, and the Kona Ice truck will be here! we've got free Gatorade Water Bottles to hand out to all players, and more planned! We will get things kicked off at 10am and hope to see everyone there! We expect most teams will play at home that day. We will have a full schedule of teams playing that day available by this weekend, but Teeball schedules have been completed and players should now have received their schedules via email from Sports Connect. We are still looking for a few players for Minor Baseball, so if you have an 8-10 year old or know of one that may be interested in playing, please let us know!
